Mandvi port is 60 km. away from Bhuj Railway Station and well connected with the National Highway 8A. Mandvi port is strategically located and well connected with land & sea, as well as rail route, with Bhuj Railway Station just 60 km away. A wharf wall of 245 m in length is available, where sailing vessels and lighters load and discharge. Sailing vessel and lighters can work directly during high tides.

The existing wharf can be used for cargo handling by carrying out required dredging alongside as well as in the navigational channel. There is ample scope for putting up a shipbuilding yard for small size country vessels which normally runs between Kutch coast and Gulf countries. It is a fair weather, lighterage intermediate anchorage port. There is no provision for berthing ships alongside jetty due to its tidal condition. The Anchor point is about 2 nautical miles (1 nm = 1.852 km) southward of Albert Edward break water. Depth of water available at Anchorage is about 10 m.
